Time for a Ruby Jane update y’all! What we have been doing has not be creatively fun, but important and fun to see none the less.
First up we had to have the bumper fixed because it must have backed into something years ago. We were lucky enough to find an awesome machine shop in New Lenox with some great guys that were happy to help us out. RAE Tool and Manufacturing Company.
Next up we had a great friend and super talented welder Tommy drive all the way to us to weld a new cross member and reinforce the main frame rails. Thanks Tommy for all your help! And for some wicked welding shots!
All done!
Time put some fresh paint on the frame rails to preserve them for another 40 + years.
With this kind of paint, safety comes first.
Now time to put the sub floors back in:
The template making took time since once wrong cut and Tom would have to start over
Ready to go!
All this tedious work gets Tom a little crazy. So a cigar to celebrate being done.
