Happy Holidays and Have Fabulous New Year, from my home to yours!
Here is our Christmas card this year. It was a trifold, 5×5 with scalloped flap.
I will be around periodically this week while I spend time with family, and recover from the pneumonia and croup that has taken over our house! Bleach wipes and I have become besties the past few days.
it sure is now.
peppermint schnapps hot chocolate, orea cookie truffles, chicago bears and blackhawks games, pizza, and good friends. just being together around the holidays.
i know this is a basic recipe, and i found out that white chocolate is more common to use. just forgive me, i am not a baker. i was looking for something fun and easy to do with ava and found this, yes it is on pinterest….as all good things are!

not the prettiest of end results but the most delicious!
the boys had to get in on the fun. both are very into to cooking at their firehouses. i have a feeling these might be made there soon

the judge approves
they were enjoyed with spiked hot chocolate, of course.
you know that target commercial that everyone is declaring “done”? that is for once in my life, me! holiday cards out….shopping
DONE
my helper?
actually underestimated how many i needed and had to order more!

a few of us met up for breakfast and mass with santa at PCHS. here is just a few quick snaps from the day.

just some random digitals i have taken. because of all the activities we are doing, owen isn’t really included due to his age. so i had to get a few of him just being his sweet self.

oh and guess who couldn’t handle it being about her brother…
this boy is just the sweetest thing. always snuggling and giving hugs. i hope he keeps that sweet spirit.
if any one has read fancy nancy christmas, you know the talk about an heirloom. ava talks about it all the time. the first ornament to go on our tree this year is one that i have remembered my whole life. ava loved it because it, of course, was fancy…

we got new countertops recently which in turn leads to a backsplash. glass backslashes seem time consuming and tedious, but tom did it! he went back and forth about doing something like that himself. many youtube videos later…
i will post the finished kitchen when the grout is completed
we have really grasped onto the elf of the shelf trend this year. and ava is responding well
the elf is going to have to start getting creative these last two weeks….he has worn out all the most logical spots.

thank god for pinterest! been getting some fun ideas there…
love these special moments together
dont be fooled…that is a pre mix

tom’s ocd came out
lots of sprinkles
he had to do one his way
and i think it is hilarious that is the one she picked to eat!
