This munchkin I got to meet before he was born, right after he was born, and now at his 3 month milestone! I can not get over how big and much he has changed! he is just the happiest blue eyed boy. I did wear him out I think but he did awesome when he was in the mood to play!

OMG – priceless, adorable, love them all! Nice work Gina!!!ReplyCancel

This family won the Mommy and Me session from the Mother’s Day contest and we waited a bit for the fields to get full for our session. I gave the family a couple different choices and when they went to check out the spots they knew this was the one because there was a deer out in the open to welcome them! This family is so sweet with so much love, and it just shows in these images!

Can you believe this handsome little guy is only one? It may have been a hot night, but he did awesome! His cute smiles and serious pout will just melt your heart. He even showed me his muscles 🙂 We had a blast running through my favorite spots, but I think Mr. A’s favorite was when he got to eat his first birthday cupcake. Happy Birthday A, and thank you M family for having me document this special time!

I hate to say this out loud but this was my first time to Lincoln Park Zoo (that I can remember at least).  I got to meet with the J family and explore some great spots around the grounds. I think we found some cool “Narnia” hideaways and I just love the bride overlooking the skyline. How cute are C and D with those curls and bright eyes??? D was a natural model and loved being in front of the camera. C was a little more shy but the camera loves her, and when she opens up, she has the most beautiful smile. Thank you J family for having me out to document all of you! Enjoy!

I LOVE these photos! I can’t get over how the images capture an even more beautiful version of the real moments. Gina, you’re amazing!!ReplyCancel

Those of you affected have already received my email, but I would like to share with everyone what is going on.

Here is a bit of the letter that went out.

As you may or may not know, I am 34 weeks pregnant and due September 13th. I went for my regular checkup this week and was told by my Doctor that I need to start taking it easy; the baby has already dropped and my swelling is becoming a concern. My Doctor feels this baby will be early as my daughter, Ava, was three weeks early. Due to health concerns we dealt with upon her early arrival and after much discussion with my family, I have decided to cancel the next couple weeks of sessions.   I am keeping newborns on my books because, for now, the work is not that demanding. I appreciate your understanding and hope you realize how hard this is for me to do as well. I absolutely love what I do!

As I look at the beginning process of getting his room ready, and starting to really “nest” , I know in my heart this is what I must do. I want to know I did my best to do my #1 job right now, have a healthy baby.

I have already received encouraging words from many friends and their stories of putting their babies to be before their work.

GCP is my baby too, and it is so hard to make a decision like this, but the encouraging and kind words I have already received from some of you that I have had to send this email to are just wonderful and give me a sigh of relief, thank you.

I will be taking bookings for November and beyond. I have been getting calls for next Spring even already, and please remember how fast weekends book. I am going to be having a Holiday “Styled” mini session marathon in October on a Saturday. All the details will be posted soon, as well as when I will start taking bookings for it.
